Simple/Simply Delicious Dessert
Sometimes the most basic ingredients combine to make a wonderful dessert, such as blueberries with cream. Post-dinner, I made fresh whipped cream with heavy cream and used (organic raw) honey in place of sugar. There’s nothing overtly fancy about these ingredients, but the end result is rich, luxurious and delicious.
Fresh Whipped Cream
1 c heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. honey or granulated sugar (you could go for 2 tsp. if you like it really sweet!)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Beat ingredients on high for several minutes, preferably in a glass or metal container. Once thickening, test consistency with a spoon or beater — you want it to be smooth and creamy, but thick enough to stick.
Serve over fresh fruit, pies, ice cream, hot chocolate, or whatever you please. May also be eaten alone, with a spoon.
